About me
My name is Will Smith. I am a 28 year old jack-of-all-trades sysadmin currently working for a moderately sized enterprise. Born and raised in East Tennessee, I have been passionate about all things tech from a very young age. My current interests are video games, my homelab, Meshtastic, and just about any other tech I can get my hands on.
About this blog
In a sea of tech blogs, what makes mine worth a read? I feel like I run into some pretty unique scenarios that I usually have trouble finding any kind of help or documentation for online, but I know I can’t be the only person who has run into these issues. I want to help document my findings and share my knowledge with the world, in the hope that what I document here can help at least one other person. I like to know how things work, rather than just being told the solution. My problem with a lot of tech blogs out there is that they only tell you the solution, without telling you what it is you are actually doing or why you are doing it.
In addition to writing about some of the personal projects I am working on or the things I find interesting, I may also write some about my job and some of the neat discoveries I make there. I have the opportunity to work with a lot of different technologies, such as Veeam (Backup & Replication, and Backup for Azure), Azure Virtual Desktop, Nerdio, Azure Cloud, PowerShell, WinGet, Azure Local, and NinjaOne, just to name a few.
